So I’ve been riding Westbeach outerwear this year. I’m really liking the gear and the team. I did a few laps with some team riders, Lucas and Wiley while they were filming the airtime video. They were nice enough to put a few of my shots in Westbeach’s new airtime. Check it out.
The last NZ blog is also finished. It was a great trip, but all good things must come to an end. I want to thank everyone who made this video blog possible. We had a blast making it and goofing around in New Zealand. It’s a collection of some of the memorable moments we had in New Zealand. The video has some repeated shots and some new ones. I hope you enjoy it.
The third NZ09 video is finished. I have to apologize for the lack of tricks, the weather hasn’t been very good for filming. But we did the best we could. Our only saving grace is that we got to borrow a friend’s headcam. So here’s the video:
Despite the bad weather, we still had fun. We went Luging in Queenstown and it was a blast. The luges are these small go-kart with no motor and skateboard wheels. You drive on a downhill course. To drive you just push forward on the handlebars and to slow down you pull back. It’s way more fun than it looks. The video gives you a small glimpse into how much fun these things are.
We finished the video a week ago but we wanted to wait so both videos didn’t come out at the same time. Here’s a photo of Cardrona’s main kicker.
I’m pretty proud of it so enjoy:
It’s been really bad weather for the last week so we haven’t been able to film at all. I’m sorry, we’ve spent most of our days listening to powerful winds and watching movies.
We rented the craziest DVD called Puppetry of the Penis. It’s pretty much an hour of full frontal nudity. Yup two guys making the weirdest things with their members, like the Eiffel tower penis, the hamburger penis, or the disappearing penis. If you’re comfortable with your sexuality it’s a worthwhile watch… if the weather is too bad to snowboard of course.
We also visited a place called Puzzling world, which is in the video. It’s a gallery of puzzles, mazes and illusions. We spent like 6 hours their but we totally could have spent twice that amount of time there. We got stuck goofing of in the toilets and this is what happened.
Hello everyone, once again, I am in New Zealand. It’s kinda my home away from home. So this year, I’ve decided to be productive and make a video blog for Snowboard Canada. I did a little write up and with the help of my girlfriend Vanessa, my good friend Duncan we made a little video. Check it out, it’s up on snowboardcananda.com and cardrona’s website.
The trip has been amazing so far and I’ll keep you guys updated on what’s going on. This is what I see when I look out my backyard.
Thanks for your support.
By the way Snowboard Canada that just came out has two photos of me from the New Brunswick trip. I also have a few quotes and stuff in the mag. I’ll be posting that stuff on my website when I get back.
Talk to you soon.
I’ll also be sending out a newsletter that will mirror the geoff blog and let you know when something new is on my site. If you want to sign up click here.
The good people at Push.ca were at the Telus Triple Challenge filming the whole thing. Check it out. You might have to Download the video player on the push website. It’s really easy to do.
So I’ve had a busy season so far. Vancouver got lots of snow in early Dec so we shot lots of rails. Then Jan hit and we had no snow. It has been a struggle to get backcountry shots. In Feb, I went on a Snowboard Canada rail trip to New Brunswick. The photos and video shots look awesome.
Last weekend I went to Norquay to compete in the You Look Good riders cup. It went awesome. I got best trick with a switch back nine and finished 3rd over all. On right is a photo of me doing a backside rodeo. You can check out the full story at….. link is gone!!!
Now I’m in Ontario competing at another You Look Good event and then I’ll be sticking around for the Telus Triple Challenge. I’ll let you know how it went when I get back.
I’ll be returning to Whistler after the Triple Challenge to continue filming my video part along with a few other contests, like the
